Congratulations to this years Medallion of Excellence Awardees. They are Elizabeth Gooch, Ashia Johnson, Ryan Kenis, and Delayney Larsen. These four students of the class of 2017 will have their photos displayed in our auditorium lobby for years to come. Congratulations Elizabeth, Ashia, Ryan & Delayney.

Congrats to the boys weightlifting team on placing 4th at regionals! Our regional champs were Joey Rago with a 700 pound total! And Brandon Elias with a 530 total! Anthony Pearsall placed 2nd with a PR of 570. Also placing were Jonathan Sandomenico at 3rd, Peyton Henley at 4th, and Gavin Moricca at 6th. Congrats to all, and good luck at states!

THE BASEBALL TEAMS HAD A SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND BEGINNING WITH THE VARSITY TEAM FIVE STAR CONFERENCE VICTORY OVER FLAGLER PALM COAST.  THE SCORE WAS 12 TO 2 AND CAM ROBINSON PITCHED FOR THE WIN.  NATHAN PEDEN CLOSED THE GAME.  THE JV TITANS BEAT SPRUCE CREEK TWICE IN DOUBLE HEADER.  THE SECOND GAME WAS 10 TO 1.  JOHNNY JACKSON AND TIM REAHL THREW COMPLETE GAME VICTORIES.  GO TITANS.

Digifest 2017 was held on Saturday. Congratulations to University Game & Sim and Digital Media students for winning: 3rd place in Game Design -  3rd place in Level Design - 2nd place in Overwatch – 1st place in the Digital Media Showcase - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Game Writing - 1st and 2nd and 3rd place In Character Design - 1st and 2nd place in Game Trivia - 1st and 2nd place in Super Smash Brothers - University students won more awards than all of the other schools in attendance! Congtatulations Titans!

Just a reminder Geometry, Algebra 1 & 2 EOC review sessions will take place Tuesday & Thursday afterschool from 3-4pm. Algebra 1 review will be held in Ms. Lugo’s room 1A-112. Geometry review will be held in Mr. Myer’s room 1A-108. Algebra 2 EOC review will take place in Mr. Benito’s room 1A-111.   All students needing to take one of these tests are invited to the review sessions.

Juniors & Seniors don’t forget to stop into 3-200 to pick up your Excellence in Education Challenge application. You could win a laptop!!! Or at the end of the school year win a brand new car!!!  To register to win students must bring their official school report card, a photo ID and the application to Daytona Dodge by the end of the business day on Monday, April 3rd..  

If you are senior and are interested in attending Daytona State College in the Summer/Fall and have not signed up for Admissions Day the representatives will be taking walk in applicants during at lunch time today in the Lecture Hall. Please remember to bring your complete DSC application with you.  

Any student interested in earning community service hours by volunteering at the City of Debary Summer Camp please stop into the guidance office and pick up an application. The deadline to submit this packet is April 28th.

National Honor Society is hosting a charity event called “Pounds for Hounds” and are asking UHS to please help donate dog/cat food tour local ASPCA. All donations can be brought to Mrs. White’s room 4-211. NHS really appreciates all your generosity with this charity

UHS 2017 Prom will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at the Daytona Beach Hilton from 7-11pm.  This week will be the last week to purchase a prom ticket for $75. On April 1st the ticket price increases to $85. Tickets are currently on sale in room 3-200 to juniors & seniors with a current student ID and no outstanding obligations.Formal attire is required, adequate coverage for ladies is a must. If you have any attire related questions, please see Ms. McCann in room 1C-310 or Mrs. Pearsall in 3-200. Your ticket includes food stations serving a variety of food, photo booth pictures and a goody bag with prom evening souvenirs. 

 Host families are needed for an international exchange student for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.  The student will be between the ages of 15-18 and will stay with each host family for 3-5 months.  The host family provides meals, a bed, as well as friendship, understanding and genuine interest to share our American way of life.  The students speak English; have insurance and their own spending money.  For more information about hosting a Rotary Youth Exchange student, see Mrs. Marracino

With all of you being away from campus for the past week, some of you may have forgotten our school uniform… so here is a friendly reminder…. Remember dress code is to be followed !!! Our school uniform is black, navy, khaki shorts or pants or jeans with no wholes and a gray, orange, white or black polo or button down dress shirt.

Good Luck to our 11 young men that will be competing at the Weightlifting Regionals this Thursday at 5pm at Flagler Palm Coast High School. 

Congratulations to Titan Theatre’s Cheney Scott who received a Superior for Costume Design at State Competition in Tampa this past week. Also attending and receiving Excellent ratings were Gabriel Gutierrez, Christian Moyers, Josh Olivares, Briana Rodrigues, Savannah Sicurella and Ashlyn Weidemiller.

Titan Theatre presents the hilarious comedy Noises Off! this week, Wednesday the 22nd through Saturday the 25th at 7pm each evening. Tickets are $5.00 for all. Come out and enjoy the funniest comedy written for stage!

THE JV BASEBALL TEAM WON LAST NIGHT OVER LYMAN BY THE SCORE OF 14 TO 2.  DIPIO, SPINNER AND JACKSON PITCHED FOR THE WIN.  THE JV TITANS ARE NOW 6 AND 1 AND PLAY HERE TOMORROW AGAINST SEABREEZE. REMEMBER TO PURCHASE YOUR TICKET TODAY TO SEE THE VARSITY PLAY WINTER PARK AT 2:00 AT TITAN FIELD. TICKETS ARE $3.00 AND SOLD IN THE ATHLETIC OFFICE.
