Bully Box Locations

Bully box locations:  There is one in the main office and one in guidance.  The box is a small acrylic box like a suggestion box in case a student is uncomfortable speaking up. Any teacher, administrator, campus advisor, or coach that a Cadet/student is comfortable talking to is also available for concerns or statements.

Media Release Form

Parents/ Guardians: you will find attached the Media Release Form, we the form authorizes local (or National) media/reporters/photographers that we may encounter during JROTC events to conduct interviews or take pictures. We are required to maintain a copy on file for all Cadets. If authorization is not granted, please just return the form indicating as such. The attached form covers the this school year. Upcoming Events

WELCOME BACK TITAN BATTALION

As we return to school this year I want to say welcome to our new group of Freshman Cadets and Welcome Back to all of our returning Cadets. As you all know, we have a new Chain of Command this year. Cadet/LTC Carl Mohr is your new Battalion Commander with a great supporting staff of experienced Commanders and Staff Officers. 

We are updating our calendars and will post new events just as soon as we get dates, information, and a plan of action to accomplish our Missions. Traditionally the first few weeks of school we will have our OPEN HOUSE for new students and Parents, our Booster Club will hold a meeting as well. We are pushing really hard this year on our Raider Team to be ready to go back to the Florida State meet in early December and bring back a trophy... so training will start early with physical fittness training to get everyone in shape.

We will post our weekly training schedules and update events as we get them, but expect something new every week.

I would like to thank all the parents that came by the JROTC room for Open House. I hope you all signed in with your email address so we can add you to our parents list. As you probably know by now we are issuing uniform to all of our Cadets, so we need to ask for your help in getting them to fit properly. Look here on our site for the Executive Dry Cleaner addresses. If you need to make adjustments to the length ot trousers, take them to one of the locations listed and tell them you are from UHS JROTC and they will not charge you for the alterations.

We are planning a Cadet Challenge event on 30 September here on campus. This is an event in which we really need every Cadet to participate... SOOOO!!! mark your calendars and be prepared to help. We will begin the day at approximately 0800 and have the cadets competing Platoon against Platoon to see which Platoon can win the Best Platoon Competition. At the end of the competition (which should be about noon) we are going to request our Parents help us with preparing lunch for all the cadets... Hambergers, Hotdogs, chips, sodas/water, etc., We will be talking to all of you soon and asking for donations and some of your time to support your cadet.

CADET ACTIVITIES DAY

UHS Cadet Activity Day

 

When: September 30th

 

Time: 0730-1200 (7:30 am -12:00 pm)

 

 

 

Students will participate in this mandatory event where they will be physically and mentally challenged to see if their platoon can earn bragging rights. May the best platoon earn the Honor Platoon award...

 

 

Parents we encourage you to help out your cadets and bring in some donations so we can all have a big cookout at the end event.

 

 

Items needed: Water, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Gatorade, Cups, Plates, Utensils, Snacks, Etc.

 

Parent Volunteers to bring grills and help prepare lunch!!!

 

 

*If you cannot make it to the event please notify Colonel Lubbers and bring in a signed note explaining why, if not your cadet will result in a zero for lack of participation.*

 

UHS JROTC FUND RAISER

Alright everyone, grab your Contacts list, your Facebook friends list, your business associate list, friends and family members, Mom, Dad, Grand Ma, Grand Pa, and wierd Uncle Fred... grab your credit cards and make a donation to a cadet. Parents we need your help in achieving our goals this year. We have 176 Cadets in the Program, so we need every cadet to input a MINIMUM of 20 email addresses into the system and receive at least one donation of $10.00 or more to be eledgible for prizes and (over $50.00) for a free Military Ball ticket. Fund raiser starts today (Sep 26th and runs thru October 24th. Parents get out there and help your cadet be successful. The money raised this year will go a long way in paying for our Military Ball and Awards Ceremony expenses.
